Award-winning artist Tom Niedenfuer is best known for his sculpted paintings of the bluffs and rock formations along the St. Croix River. In his Franconia studio, he works with plaster and paint on wood to capture the spirit and beauty of the sacred riverway.
A life long artist, Tom worked for years as a faux artist muralist. The work included three-dimensional murals, as well as recreating many varieties of stone. Tom now lives next to the St. Croix river, and seeing the magnificent bluffs and rock formations, he is inspired to use his techniques to capture its beauty.
